There are some gigs you put on the calendar, and then there are gigs that feel like a marker along the road.
For us, this Nashville trip is definitely the second kind.
In September, Huffman Acoustic is packing up the guitars and heading south from Cleveland for a weekend in Nashville, Tennessee, and we’re excited to bring a little bit of our story with us.
From the South to the North Shore... and Back Again
Our story has always stretched across a few different places.
Our roots are in the South, but Northeast Ohio has become home. It’s where Huffman Acoustic has grown from playing local shows into performing around 175 dates a year, sharing stages and venues throughout the Cleveland area, and building relationships with people who have become much more than an audience.
Over the past year, we’ve had some unforgettable moments, including being named a 2025 Cleveland Music Awards winner, performing live on FOX 8 Cleveland, setting up shop on CLE's Famous E 4th Street with the House of Blues and Jolene's Honky Tonk, releasing new original music, and continuing to grow this adventure one show at a time.
Now, the road is taking us to Nashville.
Sunday at Live Oak

On Sunday, September 6, we’ll make our Nashville debut at Live Oak, performing from 1–4 PM.
Getting the opportunity to play in a city where songwriting is woven into just about everything means a lot to us.
We’ll be bringing the Huffman Acoustic show Nashville-style: country favorites, songs people can sing along with, a few surprises, and, of course, some original music.

Taking “$100 Dog” to Nashville
Just a couple of weeks before the trip, we released our newest single, “$100 Dog.”
The song tells the true story of Trooper, the $100 puppy we bought in a Piggly Wiggly parking lot in Leakesville, Mississippi.
What started as a simple song about our dog turned into something bigger. It became a song about family, memories, growing up together, and how something that seemed so small at the time can end up becoming part of the story of your life.
Trooper made the move north with our family, and now his story gets to make the trip back south with us.
There’s something pretty special about that.
Monday Night: Playlisted at The Green Light Bar

On Monday, September 7 at 7 PM, we’ll be heading to The Green Light Bar for Playlisted.
This one is a little different from a normal Huffman Acoustic show.
We’ve been selected as one of five featured artists, which means we have a guaranteed performance spot within the first five slots of the show.
After the five featured artists perform, the night opens up to the other artists who show up, with additional performers selected through Playlisted’s bucket-pull format.
We’re excited to walk into that room knowing we have a guaranteed opportunity to get onstage, play our music, tell a little bit of our story, and introduce Huffman Acoustic to a new Nashville audience.

If you happen to be in Nashville that Monday night, come hang out with us. We’d love to have some familiar faces in the room when Huffman Acoustic takes the stage.
More Than Just Another Gig
We’re not heading to Nashville expecting some movie-scene moment where we walk into town and somebody hands us a record deal.
We’re going because this is what building something looks like.
You write the songs.
You play the shows.
You meet people.
You take opportunities when they come.
And every once in a while, you look around and realize the little acoustic duo you started has taken you somewhere you once only talked about going.
For us, Nashville is one of those moments.
We’re proud to represent Cleveland and Northeast Ohio, while carrying a little bit of our Southern roots back with us.
Most of all, we’re grateful for everyone who has listened, streamed a song, requested one at a show, dropped something in the tip jar, shared a post, booked us, brought friends to see us, or simply told somebody else about Huffman Acoustic.
You’re helping us build this.
