Meet Trooper!

Huffman Acoustic Heads to Nashville

There are some gigs you put on the calendar, and then there are gigs that feel like a marker along the road.

For us, this Nashville trip is definitely the second kind.

In September, Huffman Acoustic is packing up the guitars and heading south from Cleveland for a weekend in Nashville, Tennessee, and we’re excited to bring a little bit of our story with us.

From the South to the North Shore... and Back Again

Our story has always stretched across a few different places.

Our roots are in the South, but Northeast…

$100 Dog — The Story Behind the Song. Releasing Friday, August 21

Seven years ago, we had no idea that a random trip to a Piggly Wiggly parking lot in small-town Mississippi would eventually become a country song.

At the time, Kayla and I were living in Vancleave, Mississippi. We’re originally from Moody, Alabama area, but life had taken us down to the Gulf Coast for a few years while I worked as an inspector at the Chevron Refinery in Pascagoula. Then another big change came along: I accepted a job on Lake Erie in Northeast Ohio.

We were getting ready to pack up our family…

Joel & Kayla Huffman

"Music That Feels Like Family; From the South to the North Shore." A husband-and-wife duo, Huffman Acoustic creates more than music - we create a connection.

Joel and Kayla Huffman are a dynamic Country/Crossover duo based in Saybrook, Ohio, with deep roots in Central Alabama. Their musical journey took a meaningful turn in 2019 when they relocated to Ohio’s picturesque “Wine Country” along the shores of Lake Erie. Inspired by this new chapter, they began writing heartfelt country and Christian-infused music while collaborating closely with their local worship team.

Immersing themselves in the vibrant Grand River Valley music scene, Joel and Kayla found joy in performing both contemporary and classic country songs. Their music serves as a bridge between tradition and faith, blending uplifting new age elements with the soul of country music. Through their performances, they not only share their passion but also create a space for connection, testimony, and inspiration within their community.

With every lyric and melody, Joel and Kayla are committed to spreading faith, love, and unity. Their music is more than just an expression of their talents—it’s a reflection of their journey, their mission, and their devotion to touching lives through the power of song.
